Land Acknowledgement

We acknowledge that our office in amiskwacîwâskahikan (Edmonton) rests on Treaty 6 territory and the homeland of First Nations including the Nêhiyawak (Cree), Denesuliné (Dene), Nakota Sioux (Stoney), Anishinaabe (Saulteaux), and Niitsitapi (Blackfoot), as well as Region 4 of the Métis Nation of Alberta. We recognize and honour the languages, stories, traditions, and living cultures of the First Peoples who have walked this land since time immemorial. May we carry this awareness forward with respect, gratitude, and a commitment to building meaningful relationships.
